Senior Material (06067.HK) listed on the Main Board of HKEX
Today (23 June), Shenzhen Senior Technology Material Co., Ltd. (“Senior Material”, stock codes: 300568.SZ / 06067.HK), a leading Chinese lithium-ion battery separator company, was officially listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. The Chinese short name of its H shares is “星源材質”, the English short name is “SENIOR MATERIAL”, and the stock code is “06067”.
On its first day of trading, the company’s H shares opened strongly at HK$12.43, 38.42% above the offer price of HK$8.98. Based on a board lot of 500 shares, the paper gain was approximately HK$1,725 per lot. The shares once rose more than 49% intraday, pushing market capitalisation above HK$20 billion at one point.
Founded in 2003, Senior Material was the first company in mainland China to master dry-process unidirectional stretching technology for lithium-ion battery separators, breaking overseas technology monopolies. It was also the first Chinese manufacturer to achieve large-scale exports of lithium-ion battery separators. According to Frost & Sullivan, by shipment volume in 2025, the company ranked first globally in dry-process separators and fourth globally in wet-process separators. For six consecutive years, it has ranked second globally in lithium-ion battery separator shipments. It is one of the few Chinese companies with dry-process, wet-process and coating separator technologies, and supplies all of the world’s top ten lithium-ion battery manufacturers.

The global offering comprised 149,523,500 H shares at HK$8.98 per share, at the top of the offer price range, raising net proceeds of approximately HK$1.263 billion. The Hong Kong public offering was oversubscribed by about 1,563 times, with a one-lot winning rate of only 0.1%, reflecting strong market demand. The IPO attracted 13 cornerstone investors subscribing approximately HK$608 million of offer shares, representing about 45.14% of the total offer size. Cornerstone investors included leading public funds, insurers and industry capital such as Fullgoal Fund, GF Fund, Taikang Life, Harvest Global, Springs Capital (Hong Kong), Gaoteng Enterprise Management, Sunwoda Treasury, Jinko Energy Investment, Mondeomax, Bona Star, Sansanhe, SHEEN NATION and Chen Feng. Proceeds will mainly fund four areas: about 28% for solid-state battery and next-generation separator R&D; 27% for overseas capacity in Malaysia and the United States; 20% for new materials and semiconductor investments; and 15% for repayment of loans for the Swedish base. The company is pursuing a dual “new energy + semiconductor” strategy as it embarks on its A+H listing journey.
